Cloud Liquid Water Derived from WindSat/Coriolis Measurements

The following map displays the integrated cloud liquid water (CLW)derived from WindSat microwave brightness temperature measurements that were utilized as part of the wind vector retrieval process. For additional information about WindSat, please visit IPO WindSat web site. The map below has been divided into 30x20 degree bins for closer examination between latitudes 80N to 80S and longitudes 180W to 180E. Click on the desired geographical location and a closer look should be provided. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Please Note: These CLW products were derived as part of the preliminary wind vector retrieval algorithm developed at NOAA/NESDIS that has not yet been fully validated. Also, this web site is not maintained with 24x7 support.
